Band’s been bad for me lately. I can’t play shit in school band because I’ve got to learn how to play high notes before this Thursday, and I wasn’t able to practice over the weekend because I was sick :(

Then there’s cadet band where my band officer is a fucking nimrod. He is as responsible as a scatterbrained teenager and his view of what is cool and appropriate for a MARCHING BAND compare to that of a child.

In terms of preparation, our drumline’s absolute shit and he thinks it would be a “good idea” to throw our sticks up in the air while we close our eyes, even though half of them (which would be about a third of the whole band, stupid, I know) can’t do a simple 5-stroke roll or a cadence.

He can’t blame me for challenging most of his decisions because if we went through with them, our values and goals would go down the drain, not to mention our already low standards. Things cannot get any worse.
